12 Secrets To Kick Ass At Life – (part 3)

The final four secrets to kicking ass in life revealed! Are you ready? We started by focusing on turning our negative thought patterns into positive reinforcements. We talked about the benefits of starting a practice of forgiveness and gratitude. We created positive affirmations and started manifesting the life of our wildest dreams. Next, we turned our awareness inward to create a healthier, slimmer, sexier outward appearance. We went vegetarian, ditched dairy, shook our sugar addiction, and turned gluten free. Let’s complete the picture of total life ass kicking with the final four secrets. Exercise….for real, practice yoga, organize, clean, declutter, and finally, treat yourself like a V.I.P.   9. Exercise…For Real I’m talking heart pounding, pushing your limits, flexing your muscles kind of exercise. Replace less intense sessions of exercise with shorter more intense bursts. High intensity interval training or HIIT workouts will give you all the benefits in half the time. Plus, when you do it right, you’ll get that elusive runner’s high. A flood of feel good endorphins. There is an incredible sense of accomplishment and pride that comes with completing a challenging workout. One that you won’t get with a half-assed attempt. Working out keeps you looking young, improves your brain health, and boosts self-esteem. Plus, regular sweat sessions act like a natural anti-depressant. If you want to see a true transformation in your body and your confidence–you have to kick it up a notch. Expect more from yourself. Really challenge your body. Try this HIIT workout in your own home right now! If you can’t push yourself that hard-join a group fitness class or hire a personal trainer. 10. Practice Yoga Listen ladies, yoga can be anything you want it to be. It’s a total chameleon. I’ve walked into a class in one state of mind and walked out on another planet. That’s called getting ‘yoga stoned’. Yoga can be your meditation and your sport. It can be your strength training and your flexibility work. And if you let it happen, yoga can be your practice. Practice quieting the mind and drawing into yourself. Practice finding your edge and pushing your limits. Practice patience and endurance. Practice honoring your body and soul. That just got really deep. But trust me, yoga is that good. If you have tried it before and it wasn’t your thing, I’m begging you to find another teacher. In the right...

January brought with it the first challenge of the year, the foundation for all the challenges to come. The first challenge was to master the 80/20 principle. The 80/20 principle (or rule) states that you need only do something 80% of the time to see and feel results. For example, being vegetarian or going gluten free. Once you understand that you won’t have to give up anything forever you’ll be more receptive to take part in the challenges to come.  Click to read more about the 4 secrets for getting a kick a ass body February Challenge – Sugar Detox   You know you’re addicted to sugar when you can recall which co-worker, restaurant, or bank has a bowl a candy sitting on the counter….and you don’t really know why but you think of them with a hint of affection. You know you’re addicted to sugar when the local 7-11 worker has nicknamed you “Candy Girl” or when you’re still trick or treating at age 30. But can you blame me? Our bodies are hard wired to love sugar. Sweet is the first taste we prefer as babies. Our brains release a flood of feel-good chemicals when we eat sweets. The taste of sugar releases comfort hormones that calm and relax us. So how did sugar get such a bad wrap? First off, what is sugar? Sugar is a simple form of carbohydrates found naturally in many foods fruits, vegetables, dairy, and grains. Side note: Did you realize that carbohydrates are not essential to sustain life? Only protein and fats are essential.
