“The power, the wisdom, the creativity of the universe — you open the door through gratitude,” Deepak Chopra
Especially when you’re ready to make big changes in your life, expressing gratitude to the Universe for the things you have has a way of making you feel more optimistic, energized, and happy. This will in turn keep you motivated, focused, and open to bringing changes into your life.
You can do this out loud, on paper, or just in your head. Do it in the shower, on a run, before getting up in the morning or before you fall asleep at night. Here’s an example of what I say, “I’m grateful for this hot water, this roof over my head, these nice things, my car that runs, my legs that work. I’m grateful for a job that pays and these clothes in my closet.”
Even though I want to change most of those things….I want a new house, I want a new wardrobe, a nicer car, a career more in alignment with my life purpose, etc. That doesn’t mean that I’m not grateful for what I have right now!
Studies suggest that a new habit can be formed after 30 days of repetition. You’re 30 days from a happier more satisfied you and a whole new attitude….of gratitude. Start right now!
