The Perfect Day {Visualization}

Assignment: The Perfect Day When I first started this assignment I started writing about my real life. The way I live today. I was imaging the apartment that I live in, the clothes that I have, the kitchen that I use, and the car that I drive. I was describing a pretty great day. But then it hit me. This is about imagining my dream life. This is about being able to see myself living that life. The life I’m manifesting everyday by being aware, grateful, and daring. The life I’m creating by taking risks, betting on myself, and staying focused on my goals. That’s the life you’re describing in this assignment. It’s time to use your imagination. Picture every detail in your mind. Allow yourself to dream big. Leave judgement and doubt aside. What do you do? Where do you go? Who do you see? What do you eat? What do you smell? Where are you? How do you feel? Are you outside? When I allowed my mind to expand to the infinite possibilities of what my perfect day could entail I came up with the most amazing story. OMG, you all would love to come visit me on my perfect day. It wasn’t even that outrageous. It was just….my version of perfect. I imagined myself in my new car, wearing my new clothes, pulling up to my modern home with clean lines and flower gardens. I pictured myself walking into my open concept home with a gourmet kitchen and a glass wall that opens to the outdoor patio. All my closest friends and family are there, hanging by the pool, playing with the kids, helping me prep for the BBQ. We laugh, drink, and indulge in a few of my favorite guilty pleasures…… 😉 Now it’s your turn. Don’t hold back. Don’t be shy. Don’t miss a second. Describe your perfect day in exhausting detail. Once you’re done read it over and over again. I want you to be able to recall this perfect day anytime you need a ray of sunshine or that extra boast of motivation to get you through your day. Your perfect day is your happy place. Know it well. I awake gently, without an alarm, soft warm yellow light peeks through the curtains. A fresh welcoming breeze, the scent of jasmine, and the sound of waves crashing in the distance……and so begins my perfect day.   If you want help to lose weight and upgrade your lifestyle send me an email at mytrophylife@gmail.com. You…..Upgraded! {Assignment}

A Trophy Life is achieved by pushing your potential, upping your standards, getting out of your comfort zone and reaching for the stars. You must strive for more than average and go beyond ordinary. You won’t find your Trophy Life by taking the easy road. If you want to turn your life into a life that makes you ridiculously proud, you’re going to have to be extraordinary. You need to dream big, dig deep, set goals, and overcome challenges. Each month I’ll propose a challenge, each challenge is an opportunity to practice being successful. Success in these challenges will translate to more success in other areas of your life…..not to mention more confidence, a sexier body, and a totally trophy worthy life. Week 2 of this month’s challenge…Project Me. Continue to journal everyday, even if it’s just a few lines. Think of it as your written record for the day’s events. You don’t always have to write about what you’re feeling. You can simply journal about what you did, who you saw, even what you ate. It may not seem memorable at the time, but in reality it’s the little stuff that makes up the story of your life. Be grateful. Assignment: I want The “I want” assignment is all about becoming ridiculously clear about what you want to create in your life. It’s too easy to get caught up thinking about what you don’t want to happen. “I don’t want this dead end job.” “I don’t want this fat belly.” The problem with this kind of thinking is that you’re actually giving energy to the very things you don’t want. You are unknowingly attracting these things into your life. WTH? It takes a bit of practice and mindfulness to change these thoughts into “I Want” statements. I want statements are like affirmations – always positive and never stating what you don’t want. They are also very specific. Here are my I want statements for my career: I want a career in wellness that allows me to work part-time from my home office or laptop while making full-time income and having control and flexibility with my hours and clients. I want a career based around nutrition, fitness, healthy lifestyle choices, humor, writing, videos, Pinterest, social media, speaking to groups, working with women and children. I want a career that enables me to positively impact the lives of hundreds of people. I want a career that inspires me, motivates me, and challenges me. I want a career that allows me to earn $120,000 annually. Complete the I WANT assignment for all aspects of your life. Include health, fitness, body, career, relationships, home, vacations, family, and anything else you want. Questions Part 1 Now, it’s time for some fun. These questions are an opportunity to really get to know yourself. This week we’ll focus on personal development questions. Personal Development Answer the following questions with honesty and with as much description as you need. What are your 5 strengths? What are your values? What gifts do you love to share with others? What motivates you to be a better person? What do people always ask you to help them with? If money were no object, what would you do with your life? How do you spend your free time? Name 3...

Spring Challenge {Who They Hell Are YOU?}

Spring Challenge {Who They Hell Are YOU?}

An Adventure In Authenticity 30 days to unleash the real you. Truth be told, I’m a delicate little flower whose emotions are easily influenced by the sun and the seasons. Summer has an undeniable energy that makes me feel young and unstoppable. Fall feels like transition, wisdom, and confidence. I don’t think I’ll ever shake the habit of stocking up on school supplies in September. When winter comes I cease to grow and change but rather pause to reflect on the preceding months. I hunker down – frozen in time – waiting for the thaw. And then it comes. The sweet sweet springing forward of the clocks and the extra hours of daylight. Spring has arrived! The season of rebirth and renewal. Oh thank God! The days get longer and my smile gets bigger. My mood magically improves and my energy triples. Everything seems to come alive. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, skin is showing, and spring fever slaps us in the face. I say embrace the intoxicating charms of the season and jump feet first into a Spring Fling of epic proportions. Look no further then your bathroom mirror for your partner. That pretty face staring back at you needs a little one-on-one time. Because despite what GOT keeps telling us….SUMMER IS COMING. And once summer hits – it’s game on. There is no such thing as me time in the summer. The Trophy Life Challenge for April is to get to know (and be cool with) the real you. The real you is not the you that you think you need to be to get a job, a boyfriend, or an acquaintance. The real you is the you that will pursue your highest purpose, true talent and passion, attract a lifelong partner, and find your soul mate. By the end of this month your confidence is going to be on fire (just in time for summer). You’re going to be flying your freak flag with pride and it won’t matter what anyone else thinks because you LOVE who you are. You’ll be vibrating on a much higher frequency.  You will attract positive people and things to your life because you have self-respect and are expressing the most authentic version of yourself. That may read like a bunch of hippie self love bullshit but that’s because it is! But hippie self love sounds a whole helluva lot better than the alternative – low vibration garbage. “Someone low in authenticity tends to be more defensive, suspicious, confused, and easily overwhelmed.” “Those without a sense of self-respect are more prone to blame, guilt, regret, lies, secrets and stress.” -Psychology Today. Eww. So what does it really mean? “Being authentic” is a state of being true to yourself.  Having “self-respect” is simply liking yourself. Together it’s liking yourself for who you really are. You can’t say you like yourself until you really get to know yourself. And you can’t get to know yourself until you spend some time with your thoughts. For some of you, spending time alone pondering who you are sounds like a friggn’ nightmare. You’re probably the person who needs this challenge the most! Be one with nature and use this time to grow. Spring clean your mind. This challenge is important for setting the emotional and...

12 Secrets To Kick Ass At Life – (part 3)

12 Secrets To Kick Ass At Life – (part 3)

The final four secrets to kicking ass in life revealed! Are you ready? We started by focusing on turning our negative thought patterns into positive reinforcements. We talked about the benefits of starting a practice of forgiveness and gratitude. We created positive affirmations and started manifesting the life of our wildest dreams. Next, we turned our awareness inward to create a healthier, slimmer, sexier outward appearance. We went vegetarian, ditched dairy, shook our sugar addiction, and turned gluten free. Let’s complete the picture of total life ass kicking with the final four secrets. Exercise….for real, practice yoga, organize, clean, declutter, and finally, treat yourself like a V.I.P.   9. Exercise…For Real I’m talking heart pounding, pushing your limits, flexing your muscles kind of exercise. Replace less intense sessions of exercise with shorter more intense bursts. High intensity interval training or HIIT workouts will give you all the benefits in half the time. Plus, when you do it right, you’ll get that elusive runner’s high. A flood of feel good endorphins. There is an incredible sense of accomplishment and pride that comes with completing a challenging workout. One that you won’t get with a half-assed attempt. Working out keeps you looking young, improves your brain health, and boosts self-esteem. Plus, regular sweat sessions act like a natural anti-depressant. If you want to see a true transformation in your body and your confidence–you have to kick it up a notch. Expect more from yourself. Really challenge your body. Try this HIIT workout in your own home right now! If you can’t push yourself that hard-join a group fitness class or hire a personal trainer. 10. Practice Yoga Listen ladies, yoga can be anything you want it to be. It’s a total chameleon. I’ve walked into a class in one state of mind and walked out on another planet. That’s called getting ‘yoga stoned’. Yoga can be your meditation and your sport. It can be your strength training and your flexibility work. And if you let it happen, yoga can be your practice. Practice quieting the mind and drawing into yourself. Practice finding your edge and pushing your limits. Practice patience and endurance. Practice honoring your body and soul. That just got really deep. But trust me, yoga is that good. If you have tried it before and it wasn’t your thing, I’m begging you to find another teacher. In the right class-with the right teacher, yoga can be the most challenging activity you do for your body and mind at the same time. 11. Organize, Clean, & Declutter Clean your shit up. Seriously girl, a cluttered apartment, house, car, desk, office, etc. is a cluttered mind. Hire a professional organizer if it’s too much for you to handle. Everything should have a place and a purpose. Keeping things clean and organized boosts happiness and your sense of control over your environment. When everything has a place, you’ll waste less time looking for things. This in turn gives you more time to relax or to spend with loved ones. An organized environment tends to be cleaner and healthier. Which increases your overall sense of well being. 12. Treat yourself like a V.I.P. Finally! Secret #12. Quite possibly my favorite secret yet. Treat yourself like a V.I.P. “You teach people how to treat...

January brought with it the first challenge of the year, the foundation for all the challenges to come. The first challenge was to master the 80/20 principle. The 80/20 principle (or rule) states that you need only do something 80% of the time to see and feel results. For example, being vegetarian or going gluten free. Once you understand that you won’t have to give up anything forever you’ll be more receptive to take part in the challenges to come.  Click to read more about the 4 secrets for getting a kick a ass body February Challenge – Sugar Detox   You know you’re addicted to sugar when you can recall which co-worker, restaurant, or bank has a bowl a candy sitting on the counter….and you don’t really know why but you think of them with a hint of affection. You know you’re addicted to sugar when the local 7-11 worker has nicknamed you “Candy Girl” or when you’re still trick or treating at age 30. But can you blame me? Our bodies are hard wired to love sugar. Sweet is the first taste we prefer as babies. Our brains release a flood of feel-good chemicals when we eat sweets. The taste of sugar releases comfort hormones that calm and relax us. So how did sugar get such a bad wrap? First off, what is sugar? Sugar is a simple form of carbohydrates found naturally in many foods fruits, vegetables, dairy, and grains. Side note: Did you realize that carbohydrates are not essential to sustain life? Only protein and fats are essential. Naturally occurring sugar is less harmful and less addictive then refined sugar. Refined sugar is sugar that has been stripped of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It has been separated from anything beneficial parts. This, refined sugar, is what is wrecking havoc on our metabolism. You want the bottom line? Here it is: sugar is making you fat, contributing to signs of aging, and stressing out your heart. It is enemy numero uno in the nutrition and weight loss world. Read more about the benefits of shaking your sugar addiction. Giving up sugar is non-negotiable if you want to get control of your weight, hormones, skin, and overall heart health. The AHA (American Heart Association) has linked excess added sugar to obesity, type II diabetes, and heart disease.     Sugar addiction is a never satisfied cycle of madness. You want something sweet. You eat chocolate to get your fix. Your brain releases hormones that say, “Ooooh that’s good. Mama likey…you should do that again. But next time,...
